Curriculum


The Royal Thai Navy College of Nursing’s curriculum follows the framework of the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program, with 4 study years. To ensure the complete and efficient education of the Bachelor of Nursing program, the college divides its studying categories as follows:
Theory courses which include classroom studies, library self-study, IT research as well as field trip. Class is divided into 4 subject groups: general subjects, specific subjects, elective subjects and military subjects.

Experimental courses which include laboratory studies and training in nursing operation room in order to prepare the students’ readiness for the next training.

Curriculum and Structure The study requires 143 credits from the following 4 courses:
  • General Education Courses (31 credits)
  • Specific Education Courses (102 credits)
  • Elective Courses (6 credits)
  • Military Education Courses (4 credits)

  • Students must complete 4 years of study in which each academic year is divided into 2 semesters with 16 weeks each, and summer semester at 8 weeks. The study consists of theory/experimental studies in classrooms, laboratories, self-learning, and practice in hospital and community.
    Practical education which includes nursing practices in patient wards and communities, divided into 7 aspects
    1. Fundamental nursing:
    2. Maternal and newborn nursing;
    3. Pediatric nursing;
    4. Adult and elderly nursing;
    5. Community healthcare nursing and fundamental nursing;
    6. Psychiatric nursing,
    7. Nursing management
    Maritime medicine nursing, which is the college’s best-known identity, is put into the specific subject group. The course covers the theory, the experiment, the self-study, and extra education outside the unit.
